SAN JOSE ELEMENTARY: THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY!
Located in the Mission Hills area of the San Fernando Valley, our school serves approximately 690 students. While most live in the resident area, we also draw students from a much larger area of the district through our Highly Gifted magnet, School for Advanced Studies (SAS), and Open Enrollment programs. San Jose Street School offers classes from Pre-K to 5th grade in the resident and SAS programs. Our magnet program serves highly gifted students in grades 2-5.
At San Jose, we emphasize achievement, promote a growth mindset and develop positive character traits. Our school offers a variety of enrichments including an award-winning Speech and Debate Program, orchestra classes, Creative Arts classes, YMCA sports and fitness, Academic Chess, Student Council, Restorative Practice Student Ambassadors, LEGO Robotics, Coding classes, science lab, library, LACC/YS after school programs and much more! We have a very active parent community that participates in a variety of activities through our PTA, Booster Club, and Parent Center.
