San Jose Elementary: The Best Kept Secret in the San Fernando Valley
Located in the Mission Hills area of the San Fernando Valley, our school serves approximately 700 students. While most live in the resident area, we also draw students from a much larger area of the district through our magnet and open enrollment programs. San Jose Street School offers classes from Pre-K to 5th grade. Our magnet program serves highly gifted students in grades 2-5.
We emphasize academic achievement, promote a growth mindset and develop positive character. Our school offers a variety of enrichments including an award-winning Speech and Debate Program, Super Science Competition Club, Garden/Service Club, orchestra classes, YMCA sports and fitness, Academic Chess, Student Council, computer lab, science lab, library with technology and much more! We have a very active parent community that participates in a variety of activities through our PTA, Booster Club, and Parent Center.
Come visit our school and discover why we are the "beary best!"
