P.E. Is Not Just Playing Games

YMCA Play program

Each week, students in grades K-5th participate in the YMCA's P.L.A.Y. program.  The children work with the Y's coaches on the playground, participating in a variety of physical activities.

Originally referred to as a "psychomotor program", the name stands for Physical Learning Activities for Youth. The program's goal is to help students learn the value of staying active, and help them develop healthy habits they'll carry with them throughout their lives.

The YMCA's  P.L.A.Y. program, found at dozens of schools throughout the Valley, ensures that children receive the physical fitness, healthy living tools and character building they'll need to succeed.
